Daily Dose is a small coffee shop located near the Justice Court of Kalamata and more specifically on Psaron Street.
It is a small coffee shop with a floor plan of 20 square feet with maximum width of 3.35 meters plus one small assistant space (loft) of 5 square feet. The client’s main requirement was the store to sell coffee on the go. That determined our main design for the organization of the floor plan. Therefore, we set up the part of the coffee shop on the front side of the store so as to serve the customers from the window and the snack section at the back.
The height of the space was also important. The team took advantage of it by building a large metallic construction on the left side of the store, which is used both for storage and marking of what the store sells. Moreover it serves the promotion of the coffee company.
On the right side of the store, we remove a large piece of plaster and brought the brick to the surface. Our intention was this to remind a party wall of an old building on which there will also be an advertisement. So, the motto of the store Street Quality Coffee was placed there with big capital letters. Small signs were put on the same wall with information about the distance and direction to the central square of the town, the justice court and the railway station park.
Inspired by the technique of the American Sign painters, all the labels were handmade giving this way an extra artistic touch to the total project.

Το Daily Dose είναι ένα μικρό coffee shop το οποίο βρίσκεται κοντά στο Δικαστικό Μέγαρο της Καλαμάτας και συγκεκριμένα στην οδό Ψαρών.
Πρόκειται για ένα κατάστημα σε κάτοψη 20μ2 με μέγιστο πλάτος 3.35μ. και έναν μικρό βοηθητικό χώρο – πατάρι 5μ2 .
Η βασική απαίτηση του πελάτη ήταν το κατάστημα να πουλήσει καφέ στο χέρι. Αυτό αποτέλεσε για εμάς την κύρια σχεδιαστική γραμμή για την οργάνωση της κάτοψης. Έτσι λοιπόν στήσαμε το κομμάτι του καφέ στην μπροστινή μεριά του μαγαζιού ώστε να εξυπηρετεί τον πελάτη από το παράθυρο. Στο βάθος τοποθετήθηκε το κομμάτι πώλησης του σνάκ.
Σημαντικό επίσης ήταν και το ύψος του καταστήματος το οποίο εκμεταλλευτήκαμε φτιάχνοντας μια μεγάλη μεταλλική κατασκευή στην αριστερή πλευρά του καταστήματος η οποία εξυπηρετεί το κομμάτι αποθήκευσης και σήμανσης για το τι πουλάει το μαγαζί. Επιπλέον χρησιμοποιείται και για ανάδειξη της εταιρίας του καφέ.
Στη δεξιά πλευρά του μαγαζιού αφαιρέσαμε ένα μεγάλο τμήμα σοβά και εμφανίσαμε τα τούβλα. Η πρόθεση μας ήταν να θυμίζει μεσοτοιχία παλιού κτηρίου στην οποία επάνω να υπάρχει και διαφήμιση. Έτσι λοιπόν με μεγάλα γράμματα τοποθετήθηκε το σλόγκαν του μαγαζιού Street Quality Coffee. Τοποθετήθηκαν, επίσης, ταμπέλες με στοιχεία απόστασης και κατεύθυνσης προς την κεντρική πλατεία, τα δικαστήρια και το πάρκο σιδηροδρομικού σταθμού.
Επηρεασμένοι από την τεχνική των Αμερικανών Sign painters, οι επιγραφές έγιναν στο χέρι δίνοντας μια έξτρα καλλιτεχνική πινελιά στο έργο.
