COCI studio design a flat for a cat lover in Sion, Switzerland as a spatial collage of elements of different colours, materials and details.
A flat. A cat lover who doesn’t have one.
Wooden handles that come alive like in a painting. A feline handful.
A conical hood that floats above an abstract worktop, again.
An island that does not look like an island. Geometries that intensify everyday life.
A checkerboard plinth that establishes an abstract volume.
A mirrored plinth. Voids that carry, masses that float.
Tangerine, forest green, midnight blue, pale pink, acid yellow, royal blue and a few others that we probably forget.
A perceptible and vibrant tension sets in with the existing architecture, without ever denying it.
Each element acts as a living creature – independent, cute, free.
