Η έκθεση για το θρυλικό πρόγραμμα σχεδιασμού και αρχιτεκτονικής GOOD DESIGN® με τίτλο GOOD DESIGN® SHOW EUROPE ταξιδεύει στην Αθήνα αυτό το καλοκαίρι στις 10 Ιουλίου.
Το GOOD DESIGN® βραβεύει κάθε χρόνο σχεδιαστές για την αρτιότητα, τη δημιουργικότητα και την καινοτομία των έργων τους. Πρόκειται για ταλαντούχους δημιουργούς που προωθούν το σχέδιο ως την τέχνη της εξέλιξης, την τέχνη ενός καλύτερου μέλλοντος.
Φέτος, το GOOD DESIGN® γιορτάζει την 70η επέτειό του με μία αφιερωματική έκθεση με τίτλο “GOOD DESIGN® SHOW EUROPE 2020” στο THE EUROPEAN CENTRE, Μητροπόλεως 74, Αθήνα, Ελλάδα, με δωρεάν είσοδο για το κοινό.
Η έναρξη της έκθεσης θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Παρασκευή 10 Ιουλίου, και με διευρυνόμενο ωράριο από τις 13:00 έως τις 20:00, ακολουθώντας τις οδηγίες των αρμόδιων αρχών και με βασική μας προτεραιότητα τη δημόσια υγεία και ασφάλεια. Στον εκθεσιακό χώρο θα μπορούν να εισέλθουν ταυτόχρονα έως και 20 άτομα.

Με οδηγό τη φράση “Build A Better World Now”, κτίρια και προϊόντα που πρεσβεύουν την πιο προηγμένη πράσινη προσέγγιση, σχέδια και έργα αρχιτεκτονικής στα οποία απονεμήθηκε το βραβείο GREEN GOOD DESIGN®, επίσης θα παρουσιαστούν στην έκθεση. 70 Χρόνια GOOD DESIGN®: 1950-2020
Στην 70η χρονιά του, το πρόγραμμα GOOD DESIGN® είναι το παλαιότερο και το πιο διάσημο πρόγραμμα βραβείων σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο. Ιδρύθηκε στο Σικάγο το 1950 από τον πρώην επιμελητή του MoMA, Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., μαζί με πρωτοπόρους στον μοντέρνο σχεδιασμό, όπως ο Charles και ο Ray Eames, ο Russel Wright, ο George Nelson και ο Eero Saarinen. Το GOOD DESIGN® τιμά τα ετήσια επιτεύγματα των καλύτερων σχεδιαστών, αλλά και κατασκευαστών για την επιτυχία τους.
Το σήμα του GOOD DESIGN® θεωρείται διεθνώς ως το σήμα αριστείας σχεδιασμού, αναγνωρίζοντας τις πιο εξαιρετικές και ριζοσπαστικές δημιουργίες στον κόσμο του σχεδιασμού. Από το 1950, περισσότερες από 40.000 δημιουργίες έχουν απονεμηθεί με το βραβείο για την καινοτομία τους.
Για πάνω από επτά δεκαετίες από την έναρξή του, το Chicago Athenaeum συνεχίζει την οργάνωση του προγράμματος με σκοπό την ευαισθητοποίηση σχετικά με τον σύγχρονο σχεδιασμό.

Announcing the exhibition about the legendary program of design and architecture, GOOD DESIGN® SHOW EUROPE this summer on July 10, in Athens, Greece.
GOOD DESIGN SHOW EUROPE 2020 will be presented in THE EUROPEAN CENTRE (74 Mitropoleos Street, Athens) from July 10 to September 6, 2020, with free entrance for the public. On Friday July 10th , there will be held an extended opening, from 13:00 until 20:00.
Following the instructions of the competent authorities and with priority to public health and safety, up to 20 people will be able to enter the exhibition space at the same time.
GOOD DESIGN® annually awards distinguishing designers through for excellence, creativity, and novelty; talented creators who promote the design as the art of evolution, the art of a better future.
This year, GOOD DESIGN® celebrates its 70th Anniversary with a tribute exhibition entitled “GOOD DESIGN SHOW EUROPE 2020” in THE EUROPEAN CENTRE, Mitropoleos 74, Athens, Greece, featuring winning products and graphics from the GOOD DESIGN® 2019-2020.

A bit of history: 70 Years GOOD DESIGN®, 1950-2020
In its 70th year, GOOD DESIGN® is the oldest and the most prestigious Awards Program organized worldwide. Founded in Chicago in 1950 by the former MoMA curator Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., together with such pioneers in modern design as Charles and Ray Eames, Russel Wright, George Nelson, and Eero Saarinen, GOOD DESIGN® honors the yearly achievements of the best industrial and graphic designers and world manufacturers for their pursuit of extraordinary design excellence.
The GOOD DESIGN® trademark is internationally regarded as the mark of excellence, recognizing the most outstanding and renovating creations in the design world. Since 1950, more than 40,000 creations have been presented with the award for innovation, sustainability, creativity, branding, ecologically responsible design, materials, technology, graphic arts, packaging, and universal design.
