Η δημοφιλής αρχιτεκτονική εκδήλωση που έχει καθιερωθεί ως θεσμός στην Αθήνα, το OPEN HOUSE Athens επιστρέφει το Σαββατοκύριακο 5 και 6 Απριλίου, με 70 κτίρια και μια σειρά από παράλληλες δράσεις που ξεκινούν από το Σάββατο 29 Μαρτίου.
Μέγας χορηγός της εκδήλωσης Open House Athens 2025 είναι η PRODEA investments, η οποία στηρίζει κάθε χρόνο τη δράση, συμβάλλοντας ενεργά στην προώθηση της αρχιτεκτονικής κληρονομιάς και προάγοντας καινοτόμες και βιώσιμες λύσεις για το μέλλον των πόλεων.
Το OPEN HOUSE Athens είναι μια ετήσια εκδήλωση που πραγματοποιείται στην Αθήνα με στόχο την προώθηση και κατανόηση της αρχιτεκτονικής. Κατά τη διάρκεια της εκδήλωσης, οι επισκέπτες έχουν την ευκαιρία να ξεναγηθούν δωρεάν σε δημόσιους και ιδιωτικούς χώρους.
Οι ξεναγήσεις πραγματοποιούνται από εθελοντές, δίνοντας τη δυνατότητα στους συμμετέχοντες να εξερευνήσουν τα κτίρια της πόλης, να μάθουν για την αρχιτεκτονική τους αξία και να ανακαλύψουν την πολιτιστική κληρονομιά της Αθήνας. Χορηγός των 500 εθελοντών της δράσης είναι η ENDEAVOR.
Το πρόγραμμα του ΟΗΑ περιλαμβάνει κτίρια διάφορων εποχών και χρήσεων, όπως ιστορικά, μνημεία, σύγχρονα, κατοικίες, γραφεία, ξενοδοχεία κα.
Η εκδήλωση αποτελεί μια μοναδική ευκαιρία για το κοινό να αλληλοεπιδράσει με την πόλη και να αποκτήσει μία διαφορετική αντίληψη για τον αστικό χώρο και την αρχιτεκτονική του.
Ακόμα, τo OPEN HOUSE Athens 2025 πραγματοποιείται υπό την αιγίδα και με τη χρηματοδότηση του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού και Αθλητισμού, υπό την αιγίδα του Δήμου Αθηναίων, τη συνεργασία της ΔΑΕΜ Α.Ε. και με την υποστήριξη του Οργανισμού Πολιτισμού, Αθλητισμού και Νεολαίας Δήμου Αθηναίων, του Μεγάρου Μουσικής Αθηνών και της ΣΤΑ.ΣΥ.
Το φετινό θέμα του OPEN HOUSE Athens 2025, η οποία θα αναδειχθεί μέσα από το πρόγραμμα και τις παράλληλες δράσεις, είναι το «Future Heritage – η αρχιτεκτονική του σήμερα, η κληρονομιά του αύριο». Επικεντρώνεται στη σημασία της αρχιτεκτονικής ως μέσο για τη διαμόρφωση της μελλοντικής πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς.
Με σεβασμό προς το παρελθόν και με γνώμονα το μέλλον, η φετινή θεματολογία δεν περιορίζεται μόνο στη σύγχρονη αρχιτεκτονική δημιουργία και τις καινοτόμες σχεδιαστικές προσεγγίσεις, αλλά και στην ανάδειξη υφιστάμενων μνημείων και ιστορικών κτιρίων. Μέσα από την αποκατάσταση, τη διατήρηση και την επανάχρηση μνημείων και ιστορικών κτιρίων και, καθώς και μέσα από τη σύγχρονη αρχιτεκτονική που θέτει τις βάσεις για τις πόλεις του αύριο, δημιουργείται το πολιτισμικό αφήγημα του μέλλοντος.
Η ΕΘΝΙΚΗ ΤΡΑΠΕΖΑ χορηγός της φετινής θεματολογίας, στηρίζει το Open House Athens 2025, προσφέροντας στους επισκέπτες μια μοναδική εμπειρία που συνδέει το παρελθόν με το μέλλον της πόλης.
Στο πλαίσιο της ανάδειξης της θεματολογίας “Future Heritage”, προγραμματίζονται:
- Future Heritage Open Walks: Τρεις αρχιτεκτονικές διαδρομές αναδεικνύουν το θέμα από διαφορετικές σκοπιές, εξερευνώντας την ιστορία της παραθεριστικής κατοικίας, την αστική δόμηση με μεσοπολεμικές και μεταπολεμικές πολυκατοικίες του Μοντέρνου κινήματος γύρω από το πράσινο και τον ρόλο του φωτισμού στην ανάδειξη της αρχιτεκτονικής κληρονομιάς.
- Κατηγοριοποίηση κτιρίων: Τα κτίρια που συμμετέχουν στο πρόγραμμα ταξινομούνται με βάση τη σχέση τους με το “Future Heritage”, αναδεικνύοντας ιστορικά κτίρια, ανακαινισμένους χώρους, βιώσιμες κατασκευές και καινοτόμους εργασιακούς χώρους.
- Διαγωνισμός φωτογραφίας OPEN PHOTO: Το κοινό καλείται να αποτυπώσει τη θεματική του φετινού Open House μέσα από τη δική του οπτική, με τις καλύτερες συμμετοχές να κερδίζουν μοναδικά δώρα.
Επιπλέον, η οπτική ταυτότητα της φετινής εκδήλωσης είναι εμπνευσμένη από το Future Heritage και αποτυπώνει μέσα από λιτές, γεωμετρικές φόρμες και μια χρωματική παλέτα εμπνευσμένη από το αθηναϊκό τοπίο τη δυναμική σχέση μεταξύ αρχιτεκτονικής κληρονομιάς και σύγχρονου σχεδιασμού.

MADE in Athens 29-30.03
Αυτή η παράλληλη δράση, που έχει γίνει θεσμός τα τελευταία χρόνια στο πλαίσιο του OPEN HOUSE Athens με χορηγό την ΟΤΕ- ESTATE , στοχεύει να φέρει το κοινό σε επαφή με τις διαδικασίες παραγωγής και τις τεχνικές, είτε σύγχρονες είτε παραδοσιακές, που χρησιμοποιούνται για τη δημιουργία ενός αντικειμένου. Οι επισκέπτες έχουν την ευκαιρία να περιηγηθούν στους χώρους και να γνωρίσουν από κοντά τα στάδια της παραγωγικής διαδικασίας. Οι ξεναγήσεις γίνονται από τους ίδιους τους δημιουργούς, είναι δωρεάν και δεν απαιτούν κράτηση. Στο φετινό πρόγραμμα συμμετέχουν:

OPEN WALK 29-30.03
Η παράλληλη δράση του ΟΗΑ, το OPEN WALK, μας μεταφέρει σε ένα ταξίδι στον χρόνο και μας ξεναγεί σε πλευρές της πόλης λιγότερο γνωστές, αλλά με ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον, αρχιτεκτονικό και ιστορικό. Φέτος, οι διαδρομές αναδεικνύουν τη φετινή θεματολογία “Future Heritage” και είναι οι εξής:
- Τα αρχοντικά της Κηφισιάς: Στον τύπο παραθεριστικής κατοικίας (αρχοντικά) που εμφανίστηκε στα βόρεια προάστια της Αθήνας στα τέλη του 19ου αιώνα, τα αρχοντικά της Κηφισιάς αποτελούν εξαιρετικά παραδείγματα της εποχής τους, με εντυπωσιακή αρχιτεκτονική που αναδεικνύει την πολυτέλεια και την κοινωνική θέση των άλλοτε ιδιοκτητών τους. Μέσα από αυτή τη διαδρομή, οι επισκέπτες θα γνωρίσουν την αρχιτεκτονική των κτιρίων αυτών και θα ανακαλύψουν την ιστορία που κρύβεται πίσω από την ανάπτυξη των βόρειων προαστίων της Αθήνας.
- Η Κυψέλη μέσα από την οδό Φωκίωνος Νέγρη: Η οδός Φωκίωνος Νέγρη στην Κυψέλη αποτελεί ένα εξαιρετικό παράδειγμα αστικής δόμησης γύρω από έναν πυρήνα πρασίνου. Η περιοχή φιλοξενεί μεσοπολεμικές και μεταπολεμικές πολυκατοικίες του Μοντέρνου κινήματος, που αποτυπώνουν τις κοινωνικές και πολιτικές αλλαγές της εποχής τους. Η ξενάγηση εστιάζει στη μοναδική αυτή αρχιτεκτονική γειτονιά και τη συνύπαρξή της με το πράσινο, αναδεικνύοντας την εξέλιξη του αστικού τοπίου.
- Night Walk by IFI Lighting /”Ανακαλύπτοντας την Αθήνα μέσα από το φως”: Η διαδρομή αυτή αποκαλύπτει τη σημασία του φωτισμού στο ιστορικό κέντρο της Αθήνας, μέσα από μια νυχτερινή περιήγηση που «μεταμορφώνει» την πόλη. Το φως δεν αναδεικνύει απλώς τα κτίρια, τα ζωντανεύει, προσδίδοντάς τους νέα διάσταση και προσκαλεί τους συμμετέχοντες να γίνουν Luminauts και να βιώσουν την ένωση της αρχιτεκτονικής κληρονομιάς με την καινοτομία. Ένα ταξίδι όπου το παρελθόν και το μέλλον συνδέονται μέσα από το moto της IFI, Illuminating Senses.

H εκπαιδευτική δράση του ΟΗA περιλαμβάνει οργανωμένες επισκέψεις σε χώρους δημιουργίας και παραγωγής στις 31 Μαρτίου και σε ορισμένα από τα κτίρια της κύριας δράσης στις 4 Απριλίου. Η παράλληλη αυτή δράση απευθύνεται σε μαθητικά- εκπαιδευτικά και άλλα οργανωμένα γκρουπ.

OPEN TOURS 13-14.04
70 κτίρια με αρχιτεκτονικό ενδιαφέρον συμμετέχουν φέτος στο πρόγραμμα.
Κτίρια δημόσια και ιδιωτικά, κατοικίες, γραφεία, μουσεία, ξενοδοχεία και πολλά ακόμα συνθέτουν τη φετινή λίστα του ΟΗΑ 2025. Ένα μεγάλο μέρος των συμμετοχών αναδεικνύει τη θεματολογία ““Future Heritage – η αρχιτεκτονική του σήμερα, η κληρονομιά του αύριο”. Οι επισκέπτες μπορούν να εντοπίσουν τα αντίστοιχα κτίρια στο πρόγραμμα, όπου θα φέρουν τη σχετική σήμανση.
Το “Future Heritage” εξερευνά τη σύνδεση της αρχιτεκτονικής κληρονομιάς με το μέλλον, αναδεικνύοντας έργα που διατηρούν την ιστορική ταυτότητα των κτιρίων, επαναχρησιμοποιούν υπάρχοντες χώρους με καινοτόμο τρόπο ή ενσωματώνουν τις αρχές της βιώσιμης αρχιτεκτονικής. Οι φετινές συμμετοχές κατηγοριοποιούνται στις εξής ενότητες:
- Preserved Heritage: Αφορά κτίρια ιστορικής ή αρχιτεκτονικής αξίας που έχουν διατηρήσει την αρχική τους μορφή, ακόμα και αν έχουν υποστεί εργασίες συντήρησης ή αποκατάστασης. Αναδεικνύει τη σημασία της αρχιτεκτονικής κληρονομιάς και την αξία της διατήρησης της αυθεντικότητας των χώρων στο σύγχρονο αστικό τοπίο.
- Transformation: Εστιάζει σε κτίρια που έχουν αποκατασταθεί ή επανασχεδιαστεί με σύγχρονη οπτική, προκειμένου να ανταποκριθούν σε νέες χρήσεις. Η κατηγορία αυτή προωθεί τη βιώσιμη αξιοποίηση του δομημένου περιβάλλοντος, προσφέροντας μια εναλλακτική στην κατεδάφιση και αναδεικνύοντας τη σημασία της επανάχρησης με σεβασμό στο παρελθόν αλλά και προσαρμοστικότητα στο παρόν και στο μέλλον.
- Sustainable Design: Αυτή η κατηγορία περιλαμβάνει σύγχρονα κτίρια που εναρμονίζονται με το περιβάλλον και ενσωματώνουν νέες τεχνολογίες, έξυπνα υλικά και αρχές βιώσιμου σχεδιασμού. Μέσα από καινοτόμες λύσεις, αναδεικνύεται η σημασία του βιώσιμου σχεδιασμού για το μέλλον της αρχιτεκτονικής και τη διασύνδεσή του με την αρχιτεκτονική κληρονομιά.
- Innovation Cluster: Αυτή η κατηγορία περιλαμβάνει σύγχρονους χώρους εργασίας και συνεργασίας που ενσωματώνουν καινοτόμες πρακτικές σχεδιασμού, βιώσιμες λύσεις και τεχνολογίες αιχμής. Εξερευνά πώς ο σύγχρονος εργασιακός χώρος επαναπροσδιορίζει την κληρονομιά της αρχιτεκτονικής μέσα από την καινοτομία, την ευελιξία και τη βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη.

O διαγωνισμός φωτογραφίας που διεξάγεται στο instagram με χορηγό τηn ΧΙΑΟΜΙ, δίνει στο κοινό την ευκαιρία να μοιραστεί την εμπειρία του και τη ματιά του. Είναι ανοιχτός σε όλους, ερασιτέχνες και επαγγελματίες φωτογράφους, λάτρεις της αρχιτεκτονικής, της Αθήνας και του OPEN HOUSE Athens. Το θέμα του φετινού διαγωνισμού είναι “Future Heritage”.
Το κοινό συμμετέχει δημοσιεύοντας φωτογραφίες (posts) από την εκδήλωση στο Instagram, από δημόσιο προφίλ, γράφοντας #ΧiaomiGR_oha2025 και κάνοντας follow @openhouseathens @xiaomi.greece. Οι τρεις φωτογραφίες που θα διακριθούν μέσα από αυτόν βραβεύονται με έπαθλα προσφορά της ΧΙΑΟΜΙ.

Πρόκειται για το διαγωνισμό για την ανάδειξη του καλύτερου ΟΗ χάρτη με χορηγό την ΚLEEMANN. Οι επισκέπτες του ΟΗΑ που θα προμηθευτούν τον έντυπο χάρτη της εκδήλωσης, θα έχουν τη δυνατότητα να τον σφραγίζουν σε κάθε κτίριο που επισκέπτονται, δημιουργώντας έτσι το δικό τους αναμνηστικό για τη δράση. Το κοινό ολοκληρώνοντας τις επισκέψεις τους στα κτίρια, μπορούν να ανεβάσουν φωτογραφία του σφραγισμένου χάρτη τους στο Instagram από δημόσιο προφίλ, κάνοντας tag το OPEN HOUSE Athens. O διαγωνισμός πορτφόλιο σε συνεργασία με την Σχολή Βακαλό Art & Design. Η Σχολή Βακαλό Art & Design, για 11η συνεχόμενη χρονιά υποστηρίζει ενεργά τη διοργάνωση Open House Athens και προσφέρει μια ακόμα ολική υποτροφία για σπουδές στο μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα Αρχιτεκτονικού Σχεδιασμού, επικυρωμένο από το κρατικό βρετανικό Πανεπιστήμιο του Derby, και οδηγεί στην απονομή του πτυχίου ΜΑ in Architectural Design.
Η υποτροφία χορηγείται στο πλαίσιο των παράλληλων εκδηλώσεων του Open House Athens 2025, αφορά το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2025-26, καλύπτει το σύνολο του κόστους των διδάκτρων (αξίας 8.100 ευρώ) και θα απονεμηθεί στο άτομο που θα πρωτεύσει στον διαγωνισμό Open Your Portfolio με θέμα «συνολικό πορτφόλιο».

OPEN CALL FOR VISUAL STORIES 6.04 – 6.05
Στο πλαίσιο του τριετές project συνεργασίας “Open House Europe”, στο οποίο συμμετέχουμε για τρίτη συνεχή χρονιά, εντάσσουμε στις παράλληλες δράσεις μας ένα κάλεσμα για “Visual Stories”.
Ο διαγωνισμός αποτελεί μια ευκαιρία για τον κάθε επισκέπτη, να εκφράσει το ετήσιο θέμα (future-heritage) με οποιαδήποτε μορφή τέχνης επιθυμεί: μια σειρά φωτογραφιών, ένα σύντομο φιλμ, ένα σχέδιο ή οποιοδήποτε άλλο μέσο για μια οπτική αφήγηση.
Τα 3 Visual Stories που θα επιλεγούν από το Open House Athens 2025 θα κερδίσουν αναμνηστικά δώρα και θα συμμετέχουν στην έκθεση της Ετήσιας Συνόδου του Open House Europe στην Αθήνα, τον Ιανουάριο του 2026. Στο τέλος του έτους, θα επιλεγούν τα τρία καλύτερα Visual Stories από όλη την Ευρώπη και οι δημιουργοί τους θα κερδίσουν ένα ταξίδι σε ένα Open House της επιλογής τους, από όσα συμμετέχουν στο project, ή στην Ετήσια Σύνοδο του Open House Europe στην Αθήνα!

Η αυλαία των ξεναγήσεων κλείνει με το καθιερωμένο Time to Close Party, το βράδυ της Κυριακής 06.04 μετά τις 21.00 στο Ρομάντσο (Αναξαγόρα 3-5), στα decks θα βρίσκεται ο dj Δημήτρης Λίλης. Εθελοντές, αρχιτέκτονες, ιδιοκτήτες, χορηγοί, επισκέπτες, συμμετέχοντες της δράσης, είναι όλοι καλεσμένοι!
Η οπτική ταυτότητα της εκδήλωσης του “OPEN HOUSE Athens 2025” προέκυψε έπειτα από τον διαγωνισμό Design the poster, που συνδιοργανώθηκε με τη Σχολή Βακαλό Art &Design, και αφορούσε τον σχεδιασμό του έντυπου υλικού και του t-shirt των εθελοντών. O φετινός νικητής είναι ο Οδυσσέας Ζαχαράτος!
Πως συμμετέχω στις ξεναγήσεις:
Οι ξεναγήσεις είναι δωρεάν και ελεύθερες για όλους και δεν απαιτείται κράτηση. Συνιστούμε στους επισκέπτες να προσέλθουν εγκαίρως στους χώρους που θέλουν να επισκεφθούν, καθώς με τη λήξη του ωραρίου ο χώρος κλείνει. Οι ξεναγήσεις προσφέρονται και στα αγγλικά, εφόσον ζητηθεί κατόπιν της επίσκεψης στα κτίρια του ΟΗΑ 2025.

The popular architectural event that has been established as an institution in Athens, OPEN HOUSE Athens, returns on the weekend of April 5 and 6, featuring 70 buildings and a series of parallel activities starting on Saturday, March 29.
The major sponsor of Open House Athens 2025 is PRODEA investments, which supports the initiative every year, actively contributing to the promotion of architectural heritage and fostering innovative and sustainable solutions for the future of cities.
OPEN HOUSE Athens is an annual event held in Athens, aiming to promote and enhance the understanding of architecture. During the event, visitors have the opportunity to take free guided tours of public and private spaces.
The tours are conducted by volunteers, allowing participants to explore the buildings of the city, learn about their architectural significance, and discover Athens’ cultural heritage. The sponsor of the 500 volunteers involved in the event is ENDEAVOR.
The OHA program includes buildings from various periods and uses, such as historic buildings, monuments, contemporary structures, residences, offices, hotels, and more.
The event is a unique opportunity for the public to interact with the city and gain a different perception of urban space and its architecture.
Furthermore, OPEN HOUSE Athens 2025 is taking place under the auspices and with the funding of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, under the auspices of the Municipality of Athens, in cooperation with DAEM S.A. and with the support of the Organization of Culture, Sports, and Youth of the Municipality of Athens, the Athens Concert Hall, and STASY.
This year’s theme of OPEN HOUSE Athens 2025: “Future Heritage – The Architecture of Today, the Heritage of Tomorrow”. This year’s theme, which will be showcased through the program and parallel activities, focuses on the importance of architecture as a means of shaping future cultural heritage.
With respect for the past and a vision for the future, this year’s theme is not limited only to contemporary architectural creation and innovative design approaches but also highlights the promotion of existing monuments and historic buildings.
Through the restoration, preservation, and adaptive reuse of monuments and historic buildings, as well as through contemporary architecture that lays the foundations for the cities of tomorrow, the cultural narrative of the future is being shaped.
The National Bank of Greece, sponsor of this year’s theme, supports Open House Athens 2025, offering visitors a unique experience that connects the past with the future of the city.
As part of the promotion of the “Future Heritage” theme, the following are planned:
- Future Heritage Open Walks: Three architectural routes highlight the theme from different perspectives, exploring the history of vacation residences, urban construction with interwar and postwar apartment buildings of the Modernist movement around green spaces, and the role of lighting in showcasing architectural heritage.
- Building Categorization: The buildings participating in the program are classified based on their relationship with “Future Heritage”, highlighting historic buildings, renovated spaces, sustainable constructions, and innovative workspaces.
- OPEN PHOTO Photography Competition: The public is invited to capture the theme of this year’s Open House through their own perspective, with the best entries winning unique prizes.
Additionally, the visual identity of this year’s event is inspired by Future Heritage and captures, through simple geometric forms and a color palette inspired by the Athenian landscape, the dynamic relationship between architectural heritage and contemporary design.

MADE in Athens 29-30.03
This parallel event, which has become an institution in recent years within the framework of OPEN HOUSE Athens, is sponsored by OTE ESTATE and aims to connect the public with the production processes and techniques—both contemporary and traditional—used to create objects. Visitors have the opportunity to tour the spaces and get a close look at the different stages of the production process. The tours are conducted by the creators themselves, are free of charge, and do not require a reservation.

OPEN WALK 29-30.03
The parallel event of OHA, the OPEN WALK, takes us on a journey through time and guides us through lesser-known but particularly interesting architectural and historical aspects of the city. This year, the walks highlight the theme of “Future Heritage” and are as follows:
- The Mansions of Kifisia: In the type of summer residence (mansions) that appeared in the northern suburbs of Athens at the end of the 19th century, the mansions of Kifisia are excellent examples of their era, with impressive architecture that highlights the luxury and social status of their former owners. Through this walk, visitors will get to know the architecture of these buildings and discover the history behind the development of the northern suburbs of Athens.
- Kipseli through Fokionos Negri Street: Fokionos Negri Street in Kipseli is an excellent example of urban development around a green core. The area hosts interwar and post-war apartment buildings of the Modernist movement, reflecting the social and political changes of their time. The tour focuses on this unique architectural neighborhood and its coexistence with green spaces, highlighting the evolution of the urban landscape.
- Night Walk by IFI Lighting/ Unveiling Athens Through Light: This route reveals the importance of lighting in the historic center of Athens through a night tour that “transforms” the city. The light does not just highlight the buildings; it brings them to life, giving them a new dimension and invites participants to become Luminauts and experience the union of architectural heritage with innovation. A journey where the past and the future are connected through the motto of IFI, Illuminating Senses.

OPEN TOURS 13-14.04
70 buildings with architectural interest are participating in this year’s program. Public and private buildings, residences, offices, museums, hotels, and many more compose this year’s list of OHA 2025. A large part of the participants highlights the theme “Future Heritage – the architecture of today, the heritage of tomorrow”. Visitors can find the corresponding buildings in the program, where they will carry the relevant signage.
“Future Heritage” explores the connection between architectural heritage and the future, showcasing works that preserve the historical identity of buildings, repurpose existing spaces in innovative ways, or integrate the principles of sustainable architecture.
This year’s participants are categorized into the following sections:
- Preserved Heritage: This refers to buildings of historical or architectural value that have maintained their original form, even if they have undergone restoration or conservation work. It highlights the importance of architectural heritage and the value of preserving the authenticity of spaces in the modern urban landscape.
- Transformation: This focuses on buildings that have been restored or redesigned with a modern perspective in order to meet new uses. This category promotes the sustainable utilization of the built environment, offering an alternative to demolition and highlighting the importance of repurposing with respect to the past while adapting to the present and future.
- Sustainable Design: This category includes contemporary buildings that harmonize with the environment and incorporate new technologies, smart materials, and principles of sustainable design. Through innovative solutions, it highlights the significance of sustainable design for the future of architecture and its connection to architectural heritage.
- Innovation Cluster: This category includes modern workspaces and collaboration areas that integrate innovative design practices, sustainable solutions, and cutting-edge technologies. It explores how the modern workspace redefines the heritage of architecture through innovation, flexibility, and sustainable development.

OPEN PHOTO 05-13.04
The photography competition held on Instagram, sponsored by ΧΙΑΟΜΙ, gives the public the opportunity to share their experience and perspective. It is open to everyone, amateur and professional photographers, architecture enthusiasts, and lovers of Athens and Open House Athens. The theme of this year’s competition is “Future Heritage.”
The public participates by posting photos (posts) from the event on Instagram, from a public profile, using #XiaomiGR_oha2025 and following @openhouseathens @xiaomi.greece. The three photos that stand out will be awarded prizes offered by ΧΙΑΟΜΙ.

OPEN VOTE 05-13.04
The public award competition allows visitors of the event to vote for their favorite tour and enter the raffle for a camera offered by Fujifilm Hellas. At the same time, it rewards the volunteers of the corresponding building/route, who will receive a certificate of recognition and commemorative gifts.

OPEN your map 13-21.04
This is the competition to highlight the best OH map, sponsored by KLEEMANN. Visitors of Open House Athens who obtain the event’s printed map will have the opportunity to stamp it at every building they visit, creating their own keepsake of the event. Once visitors complete their tours of the buildings, they can upload a photo of their stamped map on Instagram from a public profile, tagging Open House Athens. Our favorite map will win a camera offered by Fujifilm Hellas.

OPEN YOUR PORTFOLIO until 30.04
The portfolio competition in collaboration with the Vakalo Art & Design School. For the 11th consecutive year, the Vakalo Art & Design School actively supports the Open House Athens event and offers another full scholarship for studies in the Master’s program in Architectural Design, accredited by the University of Derby in the UK, leading to the MA in Architectural Design degree.
The scholarship is granted as part of the parallel events of Open House Athens 2025, covering the academic year 2025-26. It covers the full cost of tuition (worth 8,100 euros) and will be awarded to the person who wins the Open Your Portfolio competition with the theme “complete portfolio.”

OPEN CALL FOR VISUAL STORIES 6.04 – 6.05
As part of the three-year collaboration project “Open House Europe” in which we participate for the third consecutive year, we are including a call for “Visual Stories” in our parallel activities.
The competition provides an opportunity for each visitor to express the annual theme (future-heritage) in any form of art they wish: a series of photos, a short film, a drawing, or any other medium for a visual narrative.
The 3 Visual Stories selected by Open House Athens 2025 will win commemorative gifts and will be featured at the Annual Meeting of Open House Europe in Athens in January 2026. At the end of the year, the three best Visual Stories from across Europe will be chosen, and their creators will win a trip to an Open House of their choice, from those participating in the project, or to the Annual Meeting of Open House Europe in Athens!

The tours will conclude with the Time to Close Party on Sunday night, 06.04, starting at 21:00 at Romantso (Anaxagora 3-5). DJ Dimitris Lilis will be on the decks. Volunteers, architects, owners, sponsors, visitors, and event participants are all invited!
The visual identity for the “OPEN HOUSE Athens 2025” event emerged from a Design the Poster competition, co-organized with the Vakalo Art & Design School. The competition focused on designing the printed materials and the volunteers’ t-shirts. This year’s winner is Odysseas Zacharatos!
How to participate in the tours:
The tours are free and open to everyone, and no reservation is required. We recommend visitors to arrive on time at the locations they wish to visit, as the space will close at the end of the scheduled time. Tours are also available in English, upon request after visiting the OHA 2025 buildings.
To participate in this year’s program, each visitor must create a digital identity (QR code). The digital identity does not correspond to a reservation or priority queue, it simply facilitates the process of recording visitors at the spaces they visit.
