“This renovation of an 80`s beach house comprises modifications to existing interiors and a new studio extending into the rear yard.  A single, oversized sliding door defines a modified living space, expanding lounge areas and allowing new views of surrounding bushland when open and overflow accommodation for extra guests when closed. New storage is provided by joinery in disused, split level sub-floor areas and connection to enlarged deck areas on the front of the house is clarified with a galley kitchen and island. The studio is square in plan and incorporates a diagonal ridge beam with irregular post heights at each corner. The studio roof folds over at one side and hits the ground at a single point continuing new irregular geometry to frame a double height view of the leafy garden. “
