Το European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies σε συνεργασία με το Chicago Athenaeum, Museum for Architecture and Design παρουσιάζουν και σας προσκαλούν στην ατομική έκθεση του καλλιτέχνη Saro Zaven με τίτλο : Geometrika, Constructivism & Cubism Art. Τα εγκαίνια της έκθεσης πραγματοποιήθηκαν την Παρασκευή 7 Ιουνίου στον 1ο όροφο του European Centre-Contemporary Space Athens, Μητροπόλεως 74 στην Πλάκα.
Ο Saro Zaven είναι ένας Λιβανέζος αρμενικής καταγωγής διεπιστημονικός καλλιτέχνης. Γεννήθηκε στον Λίβανο και σπούδασε τοπογράφος μηχανικός. Ζει στην Αθήνα, Ελλάδα.
Είναι παθιασμένος με τις λεπτομέρειες που συχνά κρύβονται ανάμεσα στις αντιθέσεις, και πάντα αναζητά να ανακαλύψει και να παρουσιάσει νέες μορφές καλλιτεχνικών εκφράσεων προσφέροντας στο κοινό του μια πολυδιάστατη αισθητηριακή εμπειρία.
Η πρώτη του μουσική εμπειρία ήταν παίζοντας πλήκτρα στο σχολείο, δημιουργώντας το δικό του συγκρότημα και παίζοντας σε φεστιβάλ σε διάφορες χώρες. Ακολούθησε το πάθος του και ίδρυσε τη δική του εταιρεία «demigreco», η οποία εξελίχθηκε σε διοργάνωση πολλών μουσικών, καλλιτεχνικών και πολιτιστικών εκδηλώσεων σε συνεργασία με τις ελληνικές, κυπριακές και αρμενικές πρεσβείες, τα υπουργεία τουρισμού και τις κοινότητες.
Ο Saro Zaven είναι γοητευμένος από τη διαπολιτισμική μουσική και την πλούσια καλλιτεχνική έκφραση με ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον για την αρμενική ποίηση και λειτουργία, αναμιγνύοντας ανατολικούς και δυτικούς ήχους συνδυασμένους με κλασική και ηλεκτρονική μουσική με κινηματογραφικά, πνευματικά και γοτθικά υπόβαθρα.
Έχει εμφανιστεί σε πολλές περιπτώσεις σε διάφορες συναυλιακές αίθουσες σε όλη την Ελλάδα, τον Λίβανο και την Κύπρο και προσκλήθηκε επίσημα αρκετές φορές ως καλεσμένος καλλιτέχνης από τη γαλλική πρεσβεία της Ελλάδας και το γαλλικό ινστιτούτο της Αθήνας να εμφανιστεί ζωντανά με τη μεγάλη μπάντα του κατά τη διάρκεια του Francophonie Cultural Week.
Το πάθος του για τη φωτογραφία αναζωπυρώθηκε την ημέρα που επισκέφθηκε την Αρμενία και γνώρισε τις αρχιτεκτονικές πτυχές των παλιών αρμενικών εκκλησιών και μοναστηριών.
«Συνάντησέ με εκεί που το σκοτάδι αγγίζει το φως, σε έναν τόπο που ξεπερνά τις αισθήσεις σου και διευρύνει τις αισθήσεις σου, σε μια στιγμή ελπίδας».
H τέχνη της ζωγραφικής του στον κονστρουκτιβισμό και τον κυβισμό βασίζεται κυρίως σε γεωμετρικές μορφές και μοτίβα με μινιμαλιστική άποψη, αναμειγνύοντας διάφορα σκυροδέματα, φυσικό πηλό και βιομηχανικά υφάσματα χρησιμοποιώντας κυρίως μονόχρωμα φόντα σε μαύρο, άσπρο, χρυσό, ασημί και βασικά φυσικά χρώματα.
Σήμερα, αισθάνεται ότι έχει σκοπό δημιουργώντας μουσική, φωτογραφία και καλλιτεχνικές ζωγραφιές. Είναι παθιασμένος και τελειομανής σε κάθε πτυχή των δημιουργιών του και του αρέσει να προκαλεί τις δυνατότητές του με αυθορμητισμό.
Η έκθεση θα διαρκέσει μέχρι τις 7 Ιουλίου με ελεύθερη είσοδο για το κοινό.

The European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies in collaboration with the Chicago Athenaeum, Museum for Architecture and Design present and invite you to the solo painting exhibition of the artist Saro Zaven entitled: Geometrika, Constructivism & Cubism Art. The opening of the exhibition took place on Friday, June 7 on the 1st floor of the European Center-Contemporary Space Athens, Mitropoleos 74 in Plaka, Athens, Greece.
Saro Zaven is a Lebanese of Armenian origins multidisciplinary artist. He was born in Lebanon and has studied land survey engineering. He is currently based in Athens, Greece.
He is passionate for details that are often hidden between contrasts, he always seeks to discover and present new forms of artistic expressions offering his audience a multidimensional sensory experience.
His first music experience was playing keyboard at school, forming his own band and performing in festivals across countries. He followed his passion and founded his own company “demigreco” which grew to organize several musical, art, and cultural events in collaboration with the Greek, Cypriot and Armenian embassies, ministries of tourism and communities.
Saro Zaven is intrigued by cross-cultural musical and rich artistic expression with a special interest in Armenian Poetry and liturgy mixing Eastern and Western tunes combined with classical and electronic music with cinematic, spiritual, and gothic backgrounds.
He has performed on many occasions in various concert halls all over Greece, Lebanon and Cyprus and was officially invited several times as a guest artist by the French embassy of Greece and the French institute of Athens to perform live with his big band during the Francophonie Cultural Week.
His passion for photography was ignited on the day he visited Armenia and experienced the architectural aspects of old Armenian churches and monasteries.
His photography is mostly in black and white, emphasizing the contrast between light and darkness, in spaces where senses come to life, the spirit remains alive and emotions vibrate with love, peace and a remembrance of human rights.
“Meet me where darkness touches the light, in a place that transcends your senses and expands your sensations, in a moment of hope”.
His constructivism and cubism art panting are mostly based on geometric forms and patterns in minimalistic aspect mixing various concretes, natural clay and industrial fabrics using mainly monochrome backgrounds in black, white, gold, silver, and basic natural colors.
Nowadays, he feels purposeful creating music, photography, and art paintings. He is passionate and a perfectionist in every aspect of his creations and he loves to challenge his potential with spontaneity.
The exhibition will last util July 7, with free entrance to the public.
