Το βιβλίο της Ντόρας Θεοδωροπούλου, ΦΙΞFIX 120+ ΥΕΑRS OF ARCHITECTURE, Takis Zenetos-Margaritis Apostolidis, A Turning Point in The History of the Fix Building από τις εκδόσεις ΕΠΙΚΕΝΤΡΟ , δύο χρόνια μετά από το ΦΙΞFIX 120+ ΧΡΟΝΙΑ ΑΡΧΙΤΕΚΤΟΝΙΚΗ, Τάκης Χ. Ζενέτος -Μαργαρίτης Χ. Αποστολίδης, Σημείο Τομής στην ιστορία του Κτιρίου, βασίζεται στη διδακτορική διατριβή της συγγραφέως στη Σχολή Αρχιτεκτόνων του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου.
Πραγματεύεται την ιστορία του κεντρικού κτιρίου FIX στη Λεωφόρο Συγγρού 53, σημερινού Εθνικού Μουσείου Σύγχρονης Τέχνης, και πώς αυτό αντανακλά μέσα από τις συνεχόμενες αλλαγές του την ιστορία της εταιρείας μέσα στα χρόνια.
Στο σύγγραμμα προβάλλεται η δύναμη τόσο της Αρχιτεκτονικής όσο και της εταιρείας ΦΙΞ μέσα στο χρόνο.
Η ιστορία της μπύρας ΦΙΞ είναι μεγάλη και η Αρχιτεκτονική ήταν πάντα ένα πολύ σημαντικό εργαλείο διαφήμισης της εταιρείας.
Η συγγραφέας αναλύει το έργο του πρωτοπόρου αρχιτέκτονα του Μοντέρνου κινήματος Τάκη Ζενέτου, προκειμένου το κατανοήσει σε βάθος τις αρχιτεκτονικές αρχές του και στην συνέχεια να εμβαθύνει στην ανάλυση της επέμβασης εκσυγχρονισμού του εργοστασίου FIX.
Το κτίριο της ζυθοποιίας ΦΙΞ στη Λεωφόρο Συγγρού εκπροσωπούσε την αρχιτεκτονική νεωτερικότητα της μεταπολεμικής Αθήνας και την παραγωγική δυναμική μιας οικονομίας που είχε στόχο την ανάπτυξη. Και τα δύο βρέθηκαν στη δίνη της παρακμής στο τέλος του 20ου αι, τότε που η σωτηρία του κτιρίου, με υπογραφή Τάκη Ζενέτου και Μαργαρίτη Αποστολίδη, αποτέλεσε αντικείμενο συστράτευσης πολλών αρχιτεκτόνων.
Το βιβλίο αυτό πραγματεύεται την ιστορία του, από την αρχική λειτουργία του ΦΙΞ, ένα κτίριο μοντέρνο και ιδανικό στη σημειολογία της αρχιτεκτονικής αντίληψης, έως και σήμερα που στεγάζει το Εθνικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης.
Πρόκειται για ένα χώρο που ενσαρκώνει μια πολυδιάστατη, αντιφατική και γοητευτική ιστορία παραγωγικών και οικοδομικών μεταλλάξεων μέσα από τις συνεχόμενες αλλαγές του την ιστορία της εταιρείας μέσα στα χρόνια.
Το ενδιαφέρον του βιβλίου έγκειται σε αυτή την ανατομική εμβάθυνση και την προσπάθεια να αναδειχθεί σε βάθος χρόνου το ΦΙΞ /ΕΜΣΤ μέσα από τη διαστρωμάτωση της διαρκούς αλλαγής του. Ένα βιβλίο με πλούσιο αρχειακό και φωτογραφικό υλικό, αποτέλεσμα μιας μακροχρόνιας έρευνας, που αποτυπώνει την ιστορία ενός κτιρίου ορόσημου στη νεότερη ελληνική ιστορία.
Ντόρα Θεοδωροπούλου
Η Ντόρα Θεοδωροπούλου είναι Διδάκτωρ της Σχολής Αρχιτεκτόνων Μηχανικών του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου.
Έχει συνεργαστεί με αρχιτεκτονικά γραφεία στην Αθήνα και τη Ρώμη για την υλοποίηση ιδιωτικών και δημόσιων έργων. Έχει εργαστεί στο Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο ως βοηθός στα μαθήματα Σύνθεσης, Ιστορίας και Θεωρίας της Αρχιτεκτονικής και έχει συμμετοχή σε συνέδρια αρχιτεκτονικής. Διοργανώνει εικαστικές-αρχιτεκτονικές εκθέσεις σε συνεργασία με την εικαστικό Ελίνα Θεοδωροπούλου.
Το 2018 εξέδωσε το βιβλίο της ΦΙΞFIX 120+ XΡΟΝΙΑ ΑΡΧΙΤΕΚΤΟΝΙΚΗ ,Τάκης Χ.Ζενέτος- Μαργαρίτης Χ. Αποστολίδης από τις εκδόσεις Επίκεντρο και το 2020 το βιβλίο ΦΙΞFIX 120+ YEARS OF ARCHITECTURE, Takis Zenetos-Margaritis Apostolidis a Turning Point in the History of the Fix Building. Συνεχίζει την έρευνα για τον αρχιτέκτονα Τάκη Χ. Ζενέτο, δημιουργώντας δίκτυα συνεργασιών και δράσεων.

The book by Dora Theodoropoulou, ΦΙΞFIX 120+ YEARS OF ARCHITECTURE, Takis Zenetos ‐ Margaritis Apostolidis, A Turning Point in the History of the Fix Building, from EPIKENTRO Publishers, is based on the author’s doctoral dissertation at the School of Architecture, NTUA.
It discusses the history of the main FIX building at 53, Syngrou Avenue, what is today the National Museum of Contemporary Art, and how, through its continuous changes, it reflects the history of the company over the years. The book highlights the dynamism of both Architecture and FIX over time. FIX beer enjoys a long history and Architecture has always been a very important advertising tool for the company.
The author analyzes the work of the pioneering Modern Movement architect, Takis Zenetos, taking an in‐depth look at his architectural principles to arrive at a deep analysis of his Modernist intervention in the FIX brewery.
The FIX brewery building in Syngrou Avenue represented the architectural modernity of post‐war Athens and the production dynamism of an economy aimed at growth. Both found themselves in the vortex of decline at the end of the 20th century, when the salvation of the building, a signature work by Takis Zenetos and Margaritis Apostolidis, was the subject of a campaign by many architects.
This book deals with its history, from the initial operation of the FIX brewery, a building modern and ideal in the semiology of architectural perception, up until today when it houses the National Museum of Contemporary Art.
It is a space that embodies a multidimensional, contradictory and fascinating history of mutation, in terms of both production and building structure, through the continuous changes in the company over the years. The interest of the book lies in its deep anatomical analysis and the effort to present the FIX / EMST building throughout its lengthy history through the stratification of its constant changes. A book with rich archival and photographic material, the result of long‐ term research, it captures the history of a landmark building in Modern Greek history.
Dora Theodoropoulou
Dora Theodoropoulou was born in Athens. She is an Architect, a graduate of the School of Architecture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She continued to postgraduate studies and was awarded an MSc in Design‐Space‐Culture from the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens (Metsovio). 2017 saw her attain a PhD in Architectural Theory and History from the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens. 2018 witnessed the publication of her book ΦΙΞ FIX 120+ ΧΡΟΝΙΑ ΑΡΧΙΤΕΚΤΟΝΙΚΗ, Τάκης Χ. Ζενέτος, Μαργαρίτης Χ. Αποστολίδης Σημείο τομής στην Ιστορία του Κτιρίου (ΦΙΞ FIX 120+YEARS OF ARCHITECTURE, Takis Zenetos, Margaritis Apostolidis, A Turning Point in the History of the Fix Building), by Epikentro Publishers.
She has collaborated with architectural offices in Athens and Rome on the implementation of public and private works and has been awarded distinctions in architectural competitions. As an assistant lecturer, she has taught Architectural Composition, History and Theory at the School of Architecture, National Technical University of Athens, and participated in architectural conferences and publications. Her interest is centered as much on applied architecture as on the academic world. As curator and communications director, she has helped organize major visual arts and architectural exhibitions in collaboration with the visual artist Elina Theodoropoulou. She also holds a diploma in Psychology, the Biosynthesis approach.
