With a couple of years in planning behind, the New York city Faberge Big Egg Hunt was successfully completed. Fabergé, one of the world’s most iconic artist jewelers, established this creative charity initiative which took place from 1st to 26th April 2014 in collaboration with leading artists and designers, to raise funds for Elephant Family, founded by Mark Shand and Studio in a School, founded by Agnes Gund.
Participants entered the hunt using a special App to seek and find the eggs, which were hidden throughout the 5 boroughs. The prizes were three Fabergé specially designed jewellery egg pendants in gold and diamonds set with various other gemstones.
The other treasures were the eggs themselves. Over 250 were created, with 35 lots being sold at a gala auction evening sponsored by Sothebys, and the others being sold thru Paddle8 auction on line.
At the gala live auction at Sotheby`s on Tuesday evening, The Faberge Big Egg Hunt raised $1.6M. And, that is only from the live auction, the results are not yet in for the 200+ eggs sold at the silent auction which ended last Friday.Your’s truly created ‘Egg-uilibrium’ which was sold at the live Sothebys auction for the grand sum of $10,000. Not quite the price of the most costly of the eggs, that carried out by Jeff Koons, which attained the princely sum of $950,000!The Auction evening was a great success with a La Duree egg for everyone to pinch delicious bits off, and a live music performance following the auction.

Through this investigation, a static moment of suspended action or movement makes its’ abstract beauty suggestive of human models of large-scale universal processes beyond our immediate grasp.

Equilibrium Series works are studies in balance & agitation – creating and setting in motion a state of equilibrium. These works are about implied motion, and the resulting mental projection of the continuation of this line of movement. They are orbits of pure form in an undefined trajectory where time has been frozen.

With Egg·uilibrium, the volume of the central mass begins its’ search for the geometric point (of absolute zero) from the absence of movement. The surrounding structure becomes the event horizon of continuous movement embracing and containing the black hole of time, thru which the traveling object passes.
On achieving Equilibrium:
