Join us as we design and 3d print our own bracelets! In this beginner crash course you will learn some fundamental Rhino5 3d modeling techniques to create 3d print-able jewellery pieces and more. More importantly, you will get to actually print your own bracelet design in our 3d printer! Learn the whole process step – by – step in a tight workflow structure, from scratch to final print in only 7 hours!
Let’s FABRICATE! Shell Type Bracelets is an inrtoductory Rhino3D & 3D Printing workshop designed for anyone interested in computational design and fabrication, whether you are an absolute beginner or an experienced designer who wants to expand your skills and portfolio, you are more than welcome to attend. Through a 2-day intensive course you are expected to gain basic and some advanced 3D modeling design-for-fabrication skills that will enable you to create your own physical prototypes. Ranging from the basic nurb creation commands to more advanced methods for editing watertight solids, the course will conclude to actual, in-house fabricated objects (shell type bracelets).
Bracelet 3d print (1 per student) included in workshop fee. All students will enter a prize-draw to win 30 cm3 of 3D prints, courtesy of decodeFabLab™. Each student receives the official 244 page courseware for Rhino level 1 as part of attending this course, as well as a 50% discount on a decodeTraining™ course of their choice.
