Hermès is delighted to be part of the unprecedented exhibition “The Museum Out of the Box: 35th Anniversary of the Benaki Shop – From Antiquity to Modern Design.” This exhibition displays various modern objects, alongside the very original artifacts they were based on and inspired from.

Hermès participates in this exhibition with six unique silk scarves that have been designed by the Greek artist and designer Mrs. Julia Abadie. Each carre featured in the exhibition has distinct elements, designs and patterns which can be found within artifacts displayed in the permanent collection of this historical museum in Athens, Greece.

From “Kosmima” (1994) featuring stunning historical jewelry to the geometric Byzantine motifs in “Ciels Byzantins” (1987) the viewer can easily recognize and appreciate the inspiration of these artifacts and the Greek heritage on modern art.
