A-SEPSIA, THE WHITE BOOK OF A HOSPITAL BY MARTA RIBAS / GARPHIC DESIGN FINAL PROJECT

Hospitals are places we frequently go through our lives; Spaces where we experience a wide range of sensations and feelings. There, the human body is usually treated above the integrity of the individual. In many cases, hospitals become synonymous with painful moments that tend to address the physical to the psychological trauma.

This is the white book of a hospital, a document which aims to reflect the lack of delicacy and empathy of hospitals. At the same time, it seeks to serve as a manual for bringing less cold and impersonal experiencing in these spaces. A guide to create a space where we can live our hospital experience as a natural process, where we get sick, heal or die. A-sepsis is based on a dialogue in between the reality of hospitals and a new proposal around it’s communication, the enviroment and the user experience. These three points are the main aspects that use to make the hospital experience more bitter. To sum up, this book shows the idealization of a focused on the individual hospital, eithwer a sick user or a visitor. It doesen’t pretend to be a closed book, instead it wants to encourage reflection and provide new alternatives for improvement to generate a future change in hospitals.
