Nika Rams was born in Breslau, Poland in 1983. She grew up in Wuppertal, Germany and studied product design at the Academy of Fine Arts Maastricht in the Netherlands, where she graduated in 2008. During her studies she already worked interdisciplinary in different fields of Design like Product and Industrial, Editorial and Communication or Scenopgraphy and Exhibition Design, e.g. at Vistapark industrial design office or at David Dubois` office in Paris. Her works have been shown at many international exhibitions like in Milan, New York or Shanghai and she won several design awards like the nomination of a talent in 2009, the third price at the European Design Award for a Sustainable Present in 2009 or the nomination for the German Design Award in 2010.
Nika also worked on several projects and workshops for Ursula Tischner at econcept office for Sustainable Design in Cologne or the Architecture Museum in Basel. Furthermore she is an active member of the ökoRausch – Sustainable Design Fair team since 2008, where she works both, creatively and organizationally.
