Established in 1972 OBJECT CARPET started their business in a tiny 2-room office in Stuttgart with 2 sales representatives travelling arount with a small white sample collection.

1973 OBJECT CARPET moves into a bigger office space,
2 more sales representatives are employed.

1975 OBJECT CARPET presents their new collection
The new collection from OBJECT CARPET revolutionizes the carpet market. Now, not only greys and beige colours can be ordered, also lines, points, squares, triangles in combination with new colours like black, blue, green, purple or red are available. The new presentation of carpets in big atlases – where the complete collection can be seen at a glance – impresses architects as well as builders, planers, interior designers.

1977 OBJECT CARPET moves into their brand new building
The outstanding success makes it necessary, that the OBJECT CARPET team moves in a newly built office building with a huge storage complex. 19 administrative people and 9 sales representatives are employed by OBJECT CARPET.

1989 OBJECT CARPET opens new offices in Austria, France and Great Britain.

1991 OBJECT CARPET opens new offices and showrooms in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Leipzig and Berlin.

1992 OBJECT CARPET moves into their current location and presents their new collection to the carpet world. With the new collection FACTS and FANTASY, OBJECT CARPET gains widespread acceptance. With artists like Barry White, Sandra Bernhard, Pamela Anderson, Wolfgang Joop, the Scorpions, Henry Maske, Gianfranco Ferré, Christy Turlington, Claudia Schiffer, Julian Schnabel and a lot more famous artists, OBJECT CARPET sets new dimensions in the world of product photography.
Photographers like Helmut Newton, Michel Comte, Francois Halard, Hans Gissinger, William Wegman, Jan-Baptiste Mondino, Thomas Flechtner work with OBJECT CARPET to present wall to wall carpets as objects of art.

1995 OBJECT CARPET opens a new office in the Netherlands.

2002 OBJECT CARPETs presents their first home collection `Inspirations`.

2006 OBJECT CARPET presents their new collection FACTS & COLORS in combination with the Roadshow `Forever Young`- the Gallery of Architects to their long term customers, partners, architects, interior designers, planners.
The new quality Pearl receives the `innovation award` and is also nominated for the design prize of the Federal Republic of Germany.
