Italian photographer and digital designer Oliver Astrologo payed a visit to one of the most underestimated samples of brutalistic architecture in Europe, the ruins of Casa Sperimentale, located in the historic town of Fragene, just outside Rome. Casa Sperimentale (Experimental House), designed in the 60`s by the Italian architect Guiseppe Perugini, brings together pure, basic geometric forms such as sphere and cubes, all submerged in a protective grid crown made of beams.

After Perugini`s passing away in 1995, the house has been totally left to grow old by nature and time, suffering both minor and more severe vandalism and physical damage. Although the building celebrates masterfully the aesthetics of  brutalism and hosts plenty of interesting design details, such as kinetic elements and rotating structures, it doesn`t seem to be given a restoration soon.
