The journal Stream 04 – The paradoxes of the living, is now available in libraries in both English and French. The journal is an initiative of PCA-STREAM, the awarded architecture firm and research program based in Paris, founded by Philippe Chiambaretta.
Stream 04 explores man’s attempts to redefine his ways of living and building the city by making nature a model, a tool or a partner through the contributions of 36 international authors.
Among others contributors : Timothy Morton (Object Oriented Ontology philosopher), Joseph Paradiso (director of the MIT Responsive, working on responsive environments), Olafur Eliasson (artist), Yona Friedman (architect and artist), Dominique Boullier (sociologist at Science Po and the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), Marion Waller (urban planning consultant for the Mayor of Paris). Some video content, talks and interviews are also available on the architect’s website: https://www.pca- stream.com/en/articles-and- videos
Since 2008, the magazine Stream has been exploring major contemporary subjects surrounding the issues confronting cities and architecture. After having reflected upon the relationships between art, the economy and architecture in Stream 01, Stream 02 explored the ways of working and Stream 03 was devoted to our entry into the Anthropocene era, a new geological era in which human activity has become the predominant geophysical force.
