Archisearch is pleased to announce that the 5th ESO conference for interior design and architecture will be conducted under the auspices of the Mies van der Rohe Foundation (Fundació Mies van der Rohe). The Fundació Mies van der Rohe was set up in 1983 by the Barcelona City Hall with the initial purpose of reconstructing the German Pavilion, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969) for the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition.

 

Besides conserving and disseminating knowledge about the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, the Fundació today also fosters debate on and awareness of themes related to contemporary architecture and urban planning, as well as encouraging studies on the work of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and on the Modern Movement. In accordance with these objectives, the Fundació organises awards, congresses, conferences, exhibitions, workshops and installations.

 

The foundation`s latest project, called European Identity – Made in Europe, investigates through a series of short films the existence of a common European identity, continuing the concern raised by the Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2014. The audience in the upcoming ESO conference will have the opportunity to watch a video of this series, which will be screened as part of our partnership with the Fundació Mies van der Rohe.

 

 

 

To Archisearch με μεγάλη χαρά ανακοινώνει ότι η 5η ημερίδα ΕΣΩ για το interior design και την αρχιτεκτονική θα διεξαχθεί υπό την αιγίδα του Ιδρύματος Mies van der Rohe (Fundació Mies van der Rohe). Το Fundació Mies van der Rohe ιδρύθηκε το 1993 από την δημοτική αρχή της Βαρκελώνης με αρχικό σκοπό την ανακατασκευή του Γερμανικού περιπτέρου που σχεδίασε ο Ludwig Mies van der Rohe για την Διεθνή Έκθεση της πόλης το 1929.

 

Παράλληλα με την διατήρηση του περιπτέρου και της διάδοσης της σχετικής με αυτό γνώσης, το ίδρυμα προάγει την συζήτηση και την ευαισθητοποίηση σχετικά με ζητήματα σύγχρονης αρχιτεκτονικής και πολεοδομίας, ενώ ταυτόχρονα ενθαρρύνει τις σπουδές γύρω από το έργο του Ludwig Mies van der Rohe και το Μοντέρνο Κίνημα. Σε ευθυγράμμιση με αυτούς τους στόχους, το ίδρυμα οργανώνει απονομές βραβείων, συνέδρια, ημερίδες, εκθέσεις, εργαστήρια και installations.

 

Το τελευταίο πρότζεκτ του ιδρύματος με τίτλο European Identity – Made in Europe διερευνά την ύπαρξη μιας κοινής, ευρωπαϊκής ταυτότητας μέσα από σύντομα φιλμάκια, συνεχίζοντας τον προβληματισμό που ετέθη από την Μπιεννάλε Αρχιτεκτονικής της Βενετίας το 2014. Το κοινό της επικείμενης ημερίδας του ΕΣΩ θα έχει την δυνατότητα να παρακολουθήσει ένα βίντεο από αυτήν την σειρά, που θα προβληθεί ως μέρος της συνεργασίας μας με το ίδρυμα.
