We are glad to welcome Zetta Kotsioni and Dimitris Kolonis, Lead Architects at Zaha Hadid Architects, to the upcoming ESO Conference 2017 that will be held at Onassis Cultural Center next March! This is a short description of their presentation:
In the making
In the beginning of this century Zaha Hadid Architects completed the construction of important projects such as the Vitra Fire Station, the Rosenthal Centre for Contemporary Arts in Cincinnati, the Phaeno Science Centre and the BMW Central Building. Through these projects the vision of Zaha Hadid for Architecture has proven pragmatic and her work has redefined the design language globally.
With strong design ethos, the practice has taken advantage of new technologies in construction and through a network of collaborators has developed a pioneering technical know-how allowing for a continuous experimentation spanning a wide range of disciplines and design industries.
While in the practice, we have been part of the making of projects of various scales, through which we aim to expose complex construction applications of interest.
Zaha Hadid Architects is a global leader in pioneering research and design investigation. Hadid’s vision redefined architecture for the 21st century and captured imaginations across the globe. Her legacy endures within the DNA of the design studio she created. Working with office partner Patrik Schumacher for three decades, Zaha Hadid Architects’ work arranges form and space into breath-taking spatial compositions.
Zaha Hadid Architects recently completed the Salerno Maritime Terminal in Italy and Oxford University’s Middle East Centre at St Antony’s College. Zaha Hadid Architects’ portfolio also includes cultural, academic, sporting and infrastructure projects across six continents.
